The Ashes barns in Staffordshire is another of my favourite venues. Weddings I’ve shot there have always been laid back and fun – exactly the type of wedding that I really enjoy photographing.
It’s perfectly set up for relaxed, stress-free weddings as everything is conveniently located in one place. Trust me, this makes life so much easier for everyone involved – there are none of the usual wedding day worries such as wasting time sitting in a car on the way to church or worrying about being late. Instead, you can just focus on enjoying your day to the max. At The Ashes, there’s the ‘milk shed’ for the girls to get ready in, a beautiful ceremony barn and also the separate east barn for the wedding breakfast (meaning no waiting for rooms to be turned around). All gorgeous. The food is delicious, the staff delightful, so it’s no wonder this venue has won a few awards!
What’s more, it’s all located in the Staffordshire countryside and at the foothills of the Peak District National Park – trust me, it’s nice!
