Rachel and Tim’s Iscoyd Park wedding is particularly dear to my heart. I’d like to think that\u00a0one of the things I appreciate an awful lot at weddings is the importance of family. My reasons – well, I’m not only a son\u00a0but also\u00a0a brother, a husband and,\u00a0in the last three years,\u00a0a father;\u00a0and as a result of that\u00a0my heart strings regularly get a good old tugging during a wedding.\u00a0Naturally, there’s the more obvious\u00a0moments\u00a0that this happens; during the speeches, those\u00a0emotional\u00a0embraces at key moments, but also the tender touches\u00a0&\u00a0little\u00a0loving glances that can easily\u00a0go unnoticed.\u00a0Often, they’re the most powerful displays of the bond between two people. So\u00a0I often find myself thinking\u00a0about\u00a0what emotions people might be going through at a given point during the day and what it would mean if I were able to capture them.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0few weeks after Tim and Rachel’s wedding, Rachel told me her dad had sadly passed away. My heart literally sank\u00a0and I remembered what an awful time it was when it happened in\u00a0our\u00a0own\u00a0family. I was absolutely devastated. The thought that they were going through the same distressing\u00a0time was tragic.\u00a0If you’re reading this and you’ve suffered a similar loss, you’ll know full\u00a0well that it’s very hard to find any kind of\u00a0consolation\u00a0in such\u00a0times\u00a0and\u00a0I’m sure it must have been the same for Rachel and the family.<\/p>\n

Looking back on these photos however, I was so glad that Rachel’s dad got to witness her wedding day, experience\u00a0that proud moment as he walked her down the aisle to marry the love of her life, to see her enjoy the day with the wonderful friends that love her and Tim so much. As a father myself I think I can\u00a0imagine what that must have meant to him. There’s no doubt he must have been extremely proud.<\/p>\n

I’m in very real danger of shedding a tear or two if I carry on writing any more, and really whatever I say just doesn’t seem anywhere near\u00a0significant enough in a situation like this,\u00a0so I’ll just end by\u00a0thanking\u00a0Rachel and Tim\u00a0–\u00a0it\u00a0was an absolute privilege to be a part of your wonderful day at Iscoyd Park and\u00a0I hope the photos\u00a0help the family think back upon happier times both now and in the years to come.
