Shabari & Sagar | Hindu Wedding | Hounslow
A few weeks ago I travelled from the Midlands down to London to document the wedding of Shabari & Sagar. It was the first time I’ve photographed a Hindu wedding and I totally loved it! I don’t know about you, but for me it can sometimes seem that a wedding ceremony is over all too quickly, that for something as important as uniting two people together for the rest of their lives the process really should be something significant, substantial and meaningful.
This ceremony lasted for a full two hours. Every little action had a symbolic meaning – the walking around the fire, the seven steps, the sindoor (red powder) on the forehead just to name a few. Even the family and relatives get involved and are able to offer blessings upon the bride and groom.
It was great to experience something new and to be a part of Shabari and Sagars special day. Thank you guys!
