“Hello alex ! What a lovely treat to receive our wedding photos. They are absolutely beautiful. The memories came flooding back and we had tears and laughter today. You captured some intimate and perfectly natural moments. Thanks again and so happy to have had you bring to life our most special day!”
Anna-Lisa and David’s rustic farm wedding was a whole lot of fun!!
They chose Ridge Farm in Surrey as the setting, with the idea of being able to have the ceremony and speeches outdoors. There’s definitely something a bit special about outdoor ceremonies – more of this, please!!
It’s always good when a wedding is fun right from the off and the girls had arranged a ‘Mr & Mrs’ quiz to keep Anna-Lisa occupied during bridal prep, which ensured plenty of laughs! Davids answers were pre-recorded and played back via iPad and I *seem* to remember Anna-Lisa getting most of them right, which was a good sign!
It’s so special to be able to involve close friends on your wedding day and the ceremony was especially memorable as many friends played a part throughout – readings, music, the vows and lets not forget David’s best man Harry who ended up holding an umbrella over them for a good 10 minutes when the rain began! Bravo Harry!!
I think it was evident to all that these two are totally besotted with each other – from the moment of excitement before the first kiss and the dancing down the aisle afterwards, it was the kind of wedding I really love to photograph, full of happiness and where couples aren’t afraid to show everyone just how much they mean to each other. Just brilliant!
The whole day was so enjoyable throughout, and it was so good to get to spend time with these guys and their friends and family. I didn’t want it to be over! I’m not the kind of photographer who leaves shortly after the first dance anyway, but it would have been a travesty to do so for so many reasons – one being the awesome Brassroots, who played their socks off and were responsible for the craziness going down on the dance floor. Good times and excellent ‘flag dancing’ ensued!!!
So here it is – Ann-Lisa and David’s rustic farm wedding for you to pour your eyes over! Enjoy!!
