“These are great! Quite the selection… love the light under that bridge… and all your compositions, spot on!”
Hazel and Rob are architects living in London. Highly talented ones too, I might add! They’d booked me for their wedding in Edinburgh and thought it would be nice to capture part of their lives in London too so asked if I could do a pre-wedding shoot for them in and around the city. As well as creating some cool wall art for the home, engagement or pre-wedding shoots can be a great way to learn to feel at ease in front of the camera before the wedding day and celebrate this particular time in your lives together.
My engagement shoots are always really laid back and relaxed. I hooked up with Hazel and Rob at Kings Cross and we just had a little walk for a couple of hours to see what we could find. London is full of cool architecture and we found rusted girders, London brick backgrounds and I couldn’t resist creating an image of Hazel and Rob surrounded by cranes too – it seemed pretty fitting for two architects. It was refreshing to avoid all the famous landmarks and just look for interesting light, compositions and backgrounds instead. I loved hanging out with these guys! So much fun to be around and their wedding was an absolute blast too. I will definitely aim to blog it at some point!!
Enjoy these London pre-wedding shoot photos!
