In many ways it feels I’ve been dashing all over the country this year shooting various weddings, so to be able to shoot one closer to home in the Midlands is always nice. Having to only drive 20 miles to Amy and Danny’s wedding at Hampton Manor was a welcome change during August, a very busy time of the year for me. Adding to the whole convenience of it all, the picturesque church of Saint Mary and Saint Bartholomew was just a two minute stroll from the Manor House through some pleasant woodland, whilst the pub across the road came in extremely handy for Danny and his groomsmen’s pre-wedding drinks! Amy and Danny certainly scored 10 out of 10 for convenience! Well planned!
Reflecting their love of films, the wedding had a movie theme. Some of the details included Amy and Danny’s collection of signed movie posters and it was a nice surprise to see myself named as ‘cameraman’ on a clapperboard positioned next to their fingerprint tree. I must admit it brought a smile to my face when I spotted it! Fame at last!
It was an event to remember. A day of good fun and lots of laughs! I have to add that the speeches were hilarious …and probably the most risqué I’ve heard to date too! It was great to be a little part of such a memorable day and huge thanks go out to Amy and Danny for having me.
