Benjamin Arrives

I’ve been thinking a lot about my father lately. Ask anyone that knew him and I know they’ll tell you that he was a wonderful, wonderful man. To my sister and I he was also a fantastic dad. The best in fact. But isn’t that what everyone says about their dad? My dad used to…

  • Alex, you made me sob.

Every frame is special, and intimate, and full of love and hope and promise and memory. Your dad would have been proud to see how successful you are in your work, proud to see that beautiful woman you married, and proud to see that bundle of joy you made together.

It’s so sad you lost him, and I know you’ll always feel the void, but you have an important role to play in Benjamin’s life now, and it must be so special to know that he will feel the same way about you as you felt about your father.

Congratulations on B’s arrival, can’t wait to meet him and Soma, and see you again for a catch up!

I’m pretty sure that he was not only looking after his son but teaching him how to carry on to become first a great father then an equally impressive grandfather.
From what I know and see he did a fine job.
Clearly he still is an amazing grandad, through you.
Congratulation to you both. I hope that one day a guy called Benjamin turns up on our door whilst travelling and explains that Dad said he had a friend in WA who owes him one and can he stay a while? No worries mate!ReplyCancel

Island of the Gods

I’ve always had an affinity with Bali. It’s a place that’s pretty easy to fall in love with, especially if you surf – as I do. I probably don’t need to explain the appeal of 25 degree water to anyone that surfs in the UK, but aside from that little detail, the waves simply PUMP…
