“You’ve captured the day beautifully and the amount of comments we have had about our photos have been overwhelming – you’re an absolute photographic superstar!”
Lucy and Loreto celebrated their second wedding anniversary yesterday (thanks to facebook for the reminder!!) and it set me off thinking about their amazing Caswell House wedding in the Cotswolds that I’ve been meaning to blog all this time!! It seems weird to be blogging weddings from two years back but it was definitely one worth sharing and I have very fond memories of the day, so it’s been great to revisit it!
Since then, they’ve gone on to start a family and now have the most beautiful little girl (she’s suuuuper cute!!) and I hope that one day when she’s a little bit older they’ll enjoy sitting down with their wedding album and showing Sofia that wonderful day that Mummy and Daddy got married! If it’s anything like the time I did this with my parents they might hear things such as “this is what your dad looked like with hair”, or “yes, believe it or not, what uncle sam is wearing was all the fashion back then!!!” 😉
I’m always excited to shoot weddings in the Cotswolds. I’d photographed a Caswell House wedding before and had been looking forward to returning ever since – it’s such a beautiful venue that has loads to offer. You can literally point the camera anywhere as it all looks so pretty! The excitement levels went up an extra notch when I heard that Lucy and Loreto were also holding the ceremony outdoors, under the ancient archway of The Loggia – totally stunning! It was an awesome day through and through – super people, beautiful surroundings, even a rainbow to top it off! I literally couldn’t have asked for more!
Lucy and Loreto, thank you for choosing me to be your Caswell House Wedding Photographer and inviting me along to capture your brilliant day! I hope you (and Sofia) enjoy the photographs for generations to come! (I’m also hoping that Lucy’s bridesmaid Kim forgives me for posting the moment her dress malfunctioned on the dancefloor! She will, ….won’t she!!??)
Special thanks also to the fantastic Kim Gribbon for coming along as my second shooter for the day.
