Here are a few photos from Rachel and Nathan’s Cannock Chase engagement shoot in Staffordshire.
They booked me for their wedding photography at the Old Library in Digbeth, Birmingham, along with a pre-wedding shoot so they could get used to being in front of the camera before the wedding day.
A lot of couples tell me they’re worried they’ll feel awkward when it comes to having portraits taken. So I try and make all of my shoots very informal and relaxed, maybe with a few silly games thrown in to make things fun too and let couples be themselves!
As their wedding venue was in middle of Birmingham city centre, Rachel and Nathan felt it would be a good contrast to head somewhere more open and natural for their engagement shoot photos. I suggested Cannock Chase as it has wonderful pine trees, some open spaces and small lakes so would give us plenty of variety of shots. It’s a favourite part of Staffordshire and I frequently ride the mountain bike trails here so I’m pretty familiar with it!
It was ace to get to know each other a little better before the wedding and I loved our little ‘socially distanced’ walk around Cannock Chase that day! Roll on the wedding!!
